GENERAL QUESTIONS

1. Which web browsers are supported?

You can use Internet Explorer, Firefox, Navigator. The dimension for webpages on this site is optimized for 1024x768 pixels. If you are encountering any problems, please send a message to the Webmaster or add a comment bin on-line COMMENT section.

2. Can I log in myECE?

If you work for the ECE department, you can log in myECE. Your user account is the same as your ENCS account. If you work for the ENCS Faculty, you may ask for an account from the Webmaster.

ABOUT myECE

1. Do I have an account?

myECE is designed for ECE staff and faculty to manage and update the contents on this site. If you are a staff member or a faculty member (full-time or part time) in ECE, you can use your ENCS account to LOG IN to myECE.

Your myECE account is the same as those for your ENCS account (Username and password). For help with your ENCS account, please visit the Helpdesk webpage.

2. What can I do with myECE?

Once you log in, you can update your personal profile, and publish some messages on this site, such as news, events, seminars.

  • As an administrative staff, you may be able to edit the staff and faculty; post a job position or work opportunity; upload the file or forms, etc.
  • As a professor, you can renew your students list, update publications, post a project, etc.
  • As a professional technical staff, you can manage the lab facility, update your publications, post a project, etc.

3. How can I upload a file or a picture in myECE?

For security reasons, you can NOT directly upload a file or a picture to the ENCS web server. But you can do this via ENCS file exchange server. Upload a file or picture as follows:

  1. Open a file exchange page at ENCS File-Exchange Server
  2. Find your file or picture, and upload it to the server.
  3. Copy the link that the exchange server sends back to you.
  4. Paste this link into the myECE form.

 

ON-LINE COMMENTS
The ECE site defines four kinds of comments for a visitor:
  • Information
  • Suggestion
  • Question
  • Request

You can submit your message based on its type. The Webmaster and other users may reply to your message.

Statement : ECE reserves the right to remove those postings which are defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, religious, discriminatory or illegal.
