Congratulations to Ramin Banan Sadeghian, former Ph.D. student of Dr. Mojtaba Kahrizi, for winning Student Award – second place!

His paper entitled "A LOW VOLTAGE GAS IONIZATION SENSOR BASED ON SPARSE GOLD NANORODS" won the second best prize based on the novelty of the idea, at the 6th annual IEEE Conference on Censors, Atlanta, Georgia, October 2007.

Ramin has successfully defended his thesis titled "A Field Effect Gas Sensor based on Self-Standing Nanowires Arrays" in September 2007 and graduated this Fall with a Ph.D. degree.
